Non-Residential Summer School for Adults and Juniors

Our English language school in Reading is the location for our non-residential summer school for adults and juniors, in the heart of the town centre.

The train station is only five minutes away from the school and many other famous attractions can be reached easily from Reading. London and Oxford are both just a 30-minute train ride away. Each year, Reading holds the world famous Music Festival on the last weekend of August and the town is a busy, vibrant, and exciting place to be in the summertime.

Our summer school offers the flexibility of an intensive English program, or a mix of English lessons and activities/excursions.

The students in our classes are full-time and part-time and can study between 4 hours and 25 hours per week, depending on their individual circumstances. This means that class sizes may vary from day to day, depending on the number of students attending, but will never exceed the maximum number of students per class.

Activities, Social time, and Excursions

To help you make the most of your summer, we organise activities and social events. Our excursions are a lot of fun and are very popular with our students. Some of our most popular excursions are to: London, Henley-Upon-Thames, Oxford and Windsor Castle.

The exact excursion and activity schedule will be provided at the time of making the course booking.

*Please note that we do not organise activities for under 18s.

Accommodation Options

We know you want to feel happy and relaxed when you’re away from home, but we don’t underestimate the need for safety and security for our students. We organise host families through a local homestay agency. All host families are inspected at least once yearly, and have valid gas safety certificates and fire risk assessments, to meet all statutory requirements.

All homestay families want to help students have the very best experience! Homestays are an excellent option to ensure you are practising your English every day, in a home-from-home environment. Some of our families live close to the town centre, although some may live up to a 25-minute bus ride away. All the families will ensure you have a positive, fun, safe, and memorable experience with them!

Alternatively, you can stay at self-catering halls of residence. These are ideal for students who prefer their privacy and cooking. They are a short, ten-minute walk from the school, and have WiFi, social areas, a laundry room, and outdoor green areas.

*Please note that we do not organise accommodation for under 18s.
