Which type of visa do I need?
- Up to 6 months: Standard Visitor visa (or visa-free entry / ETA depending on nationality). Link: https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor
- More than 6 months, up to 11 months, English course only: Short-term study visa (“Study English in the UK”). Cannot be extended. Link: https://www.gov.uk/visa-to-study-english
- Longer courses, or students who want to extend in the UK: Student visa. Eurospeak is a licensed Student sponsor and issues a CAS after an unconditional offer. Requirements we apply before issuing a CAS: age 16+; course at CEFR B2 or above; Secure English Language Test (SELT) from a Home Office approved provider at B1 in all four skills; minimum 15 hours per week daytime classroom study; proof of funds as set by UKVI; interview and document check. Students on a Student visa must attend all classes. Eurospeak must report to UKVI if a sponsored student does not enrol, stops attending or withdraws.
What documents do I need for a Visitor visa or Short-term study visa?
- A valid passport (or travel document).
- Visa Letter from Eurospeak – you will receive this letter after you have paid your complete fee.
- Evidence of money to support yourself without working (bank statements or pay slips).
Student visa applicants are issued a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) by Eurospeak instead of a Visa Letter. Check the full document list on GOV.UK.
How long does it take to get the visa?
Processing times and fees change. Always check GOV.UK before applying.
